A Locally-Led NGO at the Forefront of Pastoral Development
Pastoralist Concern Kenya (PCK) is a registered Kenyan non-governmental organisation advancing climate change adaptation, sustainable livelihoods, and community resilience for nomadic pastoralist communities in Northern Kenya and the Horn of Africa.
Founded in 2007, PCK has spent nearly two decades partnering with communities, county governments, and international agencies to deliver programmes that are locally owned, rights-based, and measurably impactful. We are proud to have contributed to Kenya’s national ASAL Policy.

Where We Work
Pastoralist Concern Kenya operates across six priority counties in Kenya’s Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) — some of the most climate-vulnerable and underserved regions in East Africa.

Our head office is in Marsabit with a field office in North Horr, Marsabit County. Our grassroots presence enables direct community engagement and targeted programme delivery.

How KES 4,641 per month for five months reached 300 households — 1,800 people — in North Horr Sub County after drought and El Niño floods wiped out livestock and livelihoods across Marsabit.
